Most Porschephiles who were waiting on a baby 911 were fairly happy with the Cayman, but one Greek motorist had in mind something considerably smaller (even smaller than an actual Porsche), and, failing to find anything on the market that tickled his fancy, set out to create one for himself.
The result is what you see here, a classic Fiat 500, completely re-styled and re-skinned to emulate a 996-generation Porsche 911 Turbo. The idea almost seems a little less than ridiculous when you realize that, like the 911, the original Cinquecento was rear-engined. Then you look at it again and begin to laugh. We have to admit, though, that the Smorsche (as it's been labeled) is a unique creation, and well executed. But don't take our word for it, take a look for yourself at the photos in the gallery below.

other then relating the car to a Porche, it is one nice car. The rear spoiler could be used as a luggage rack. The Fiat 500 could compete with the "Smart Car".

Interesting... It uses the headlamps of a Porsche 996 Turbo, rear fascia resembling Porsche 996 Carrera 4S, and front air intakes like the Porsche 997 Turbo.

Well done!
This is a really well executed miniature.

Amazing! This is a prime example of what being a “car lover” is all about: Making something totally unique or unexpected.
A car lover it not - buying a trophy car that is more than the GNP of small nations or lusting after the latest uber-fast, my-grandma-can-still-do-200mph-in-the-rain-after-her-stroke, soul-less. four wheel'd penis enhancer.
This is raw talent, vision, a good helping of humor and the guts to see it all through. I cannot applaud or give enough credit. Gives me lots of ideas...
For all you Nippon-phile fan boys the new GT-R videos are on the next page - try to keep the keyboard dry and keep moving.

Am I the only one who thinks this execution is ugly and way out of proportion? I like the original design way better. Why try to be something you're not?

Asked Atul: "Am I the only one who thinks this execution is ugly and way out of proportion? I like the original design way better. Why try to be something you're not?"
Out of proportion? Yes, that's its whole point; an elaborate joke.
Ugly? No, think 'funny' instead, it's a cartoon come to life.
The creator does not want us to think that he really drives a small Porsche, he wants us to laugh, and wonder, what if Porsche really did a car this size....

If it was priced similarly to Smart (less is better) I'd buy it with no questions asked.
